As you know, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education will be compulsory aspects of PSHE education in all secondary schools from September 2020. Relationships Education and Health Education will be compulsory in primary schools.

PSHE Association's handy explainer slides will help you and your school prepare, and they are delighted to launch a secondary version in addition to the primary set published recently. These presentations cover practical steps to take, guidance to have in place and resources you can use. They will also help you to explain these changes to your SLT, governors and other colleagues.

It also explores how PSHE education is likely to play a greater role under the new Ofsted inspection framework — particularly in evidencing ‘personal development’, as well as making a unique contribution to safeguarding.
